Growing Tomorrow's Farmers!
The average age of a farmer in the region is close to 60 years. Fewer than 2% of the population farms. At the same time, demand for nutrient-dense, local produce is also on the rise. Aspiring farmers, young and old, are ready to answer the call to farm, and the Horn Farm Center provides things that would typically be cost-prohibitive during the first few years of farming: affordable land, shared equipment, infrastructure, business planning, marketing assistance and connections with other farmers.
For those aspiring farmers without two years of farming experience, we offer a Farming Internship. This program provides foundational knowledge and practical skills for those interested in small-scale, intensive, organic vegetable and permaculture-based production methods.
We invite you to join us in growing tomorrow’s farmers by making a contribution today. Contributions of any size make a difference. Thank you for your generosity and support.
Every gift matters!
