Foraging - March 2017 March - This is our first foraging walk of the season! This time of year can be unpredictable and we'll find ourselves with either an early thaw and beautiful spring ephemerals emerging or we'll have a foot of snow to stomp through. Either way, we will greet what the natural world has to offer us and see what is available to harvest now and what we can identify to return to later. Each class is two hours in duration. Beginners and experienced foragers are welcome. Be prepared to walk, often at times on muddy or uneven surfaces. Dress for the weather and season! We meet at the pole barn. (read more...)
