TOPIC: FORAGING FOR EDIBLES
September's Guided Nature Walk will focus on foraging for edibles in our woodlands and meadows. This time of year roots are particularly abundant- as the plants begin to draw their energies into the ground to store them for winter. Roots can be used as tasty root vegetables or process and dry them for coffee, tea, and medicine. Learn about the connections between flora and fauna, ask questions, and see wildlife along the way.
