Women’s Intro to Foraging with Elizabeth Davidson, Forage Culture

Registration is closed for this event
Foraging is the act of finding and gathering wild foods. For the majority of our existence on this planet, human beings lived as hunter-gatherers. By engaging in this age-old practice, we can provide ourselves with healthy and abundant food and medicine, become more self-reliant, and connect on a much deeper level to the landscape in which we live.

Led by a woman, for women only, this plant focused class is a beginner to moderate level class that will discuss a series of questions, called the S.E.L.L. method, to give you peace of mind when approaching any new area, plant or fungi, but we will talk about more than just how plants affect women differently than men. This class is an opportunity to meet other women interested in the natural world and to talk about issues from a feminine perspective. Those with fears & hesitations welcome. No children. Please be sure to wear long pants and hiking suitable shoes.

About the Instructor:

As the founder of Forage Culture, a company connecting people to provisions within their reach, Elizabeth was born into a strong connection to nature, cooking  & teaching through her physicist & grape farmer father and multi-disciplinary collegiate professor mother. Her introductory classes on approaching nature and foraging are based in universal teaching techniques with a strong emphasis on repetition, and her cooking style is elevated-home-chef-with-no-time-but-healthy. And delicious. Visit forageculture.com for more information.
