Women’s Intro to Foraging

Registration is closed for this event
Foraging is the act of finding and gathering wild foods. For the majority of our existence on this planet, human beings lived as hunter-gatherers. By engaging in this age-old practice, we can provide ourselves with healthy and abundant food and medicine, become more self-reliant, and connect on a much deeper level to the landscape in which we live.

Led by a woman, for women only, this plant focused class is a beginner to moderate level class that will discuss the essentials of foraging, including plant identification, terminology, safety, medicinal and edible uses of plants, and honorable harvest.

This class is an opportunity to meet other women interested in the natural world and to talk about issues from a feminine perspective. Those with fears & hesitations welcome. No children. Please dress appropriately for the outdoors and off trail walking.

Led by Calyx Liddick, Director of the Northern Appalachia School
