\n \n Thanks to the partnership of the Susquehanna National Heritage Area\, the Ho rn Farm Center recently unveiled a new sel f-guided walking tour featuring over a do zen interpretive and directional signs across our property. The new program offers visitors an acces sible way to learn about regenerative agriculture and ecological restoration while enjoying the outd oors at the Horn Farm.
\n \nAs part of the grand opening of the project\, we invite you to j oin us for a guided walk along the new educational trail.
\n \nLed by project leaders and Ho rn Farm Center team members\, Alexis Campbell and Andrew Leahy\, this free event will highlight loca l history\, farming\, and land restoration. Learn about the Horn Farm's agricultural heritage\, food systems inspired by nature\, and the promising pl ants helping us heal the land while growing local goods and educating our community.

The walking tour is a fully outdoor experience. We will plan to lead this program rain or shine\; however\, in the event of torrential r ain or hazardous conditions\, the program will be rescheduled and registered guests will be notified .
\n \nPlease check the weather in advance and dress accordingly. Expect muddy conditions in the event of recent rain. All walking areas are mo wed grass paths.
\n \nOverall\, this walk will cover about 0.75 miles with plenty of stops. The terrain is primarily flat with some areas of g entle sloping and variation. If mobility is a conc ern\, please contact us at education@hornfarmcenter.or g to discuss options.
\n \nParking takes place in the grass field above the farmhouse. Two handicap-acce ssible spaces are available in the rocky lot next to the house. We'll begin this tour by gathering i n front of the farmhouse.
\n \nThis walking tour is appropriate for all audiences. Children under 13 do not need to b e registered. All children must be accompanied by an aduit.
\n \nThere is no cost to attend this educational walk.
\n \nServ ice animals\, active and in-training\, are permitt ed. All other animals and pets must remain at home . The Horn Farm is a working farm with sensitive r estoration areas\, so we only allow animals in cas es of medical need.

Alexis Campbell grew up in Berks County\, just outside of Reading\, PA. Befo re leading the Horn Farm Center\, Alexis served as the Associate Director and head of Communications for the Berks History Center. She also co-founded and served as the Operations Director of Permacul tivate Inc. and Reading Roots Urban Farm. Alexis i s a permaculture practitioner\, educator\, and lon gtime student of regenerative agriculture. She hol ds a B.A. in Letters\, Arts\, and Sciences from Pe nnsylvania State University where she explored hum an systems\, politics\, and ecology. She is traine d in Commercial Urban Agriculture (2010) and holds certificates in Permaculture Design (2009) and Te aching Permaculture (2012).
\n \nWith over 10 years of non-profit experience\, Alexis is pass ionate about cultivating organizational systems th at foster creativity\, growth\, and innovation. Sh e believes that resilience begins with connection: to oneself\, to others\, and to the earth. Alexi s is a Master Watershed Steward\, a Master Well Ow ner Network Volunteer\, Center for Progressive Lea dership Fellow and a member of the Rotary Club of York\, the Junior League of York\, and the St. Xen ia Philoptochos Society of Reading.

Andrew is an avid forager and student of wild spaces\, interes ted in rekindling ways of living on the landscape that are place-sourced and mutually nuturing. Movi ng to the Lower Susquehanna Region from the mounta ins of Northeastern PA in 2021\, he currently serv es as the Educational & Outreach Speciaist for the Horn Farm Center.
\n \nWith an academic ba ckground in English literature and music compositi on\, Andrew has since embraced ecological learning and lifelong wildcrafting\, fostering his skills through the Horn Farm’s training programs and the Northern Appalachia School’s Foundations of Bioreg ional Herbalism program. In addition to leading mo nthly foraging walks and special topics courses\, Andrew co-teaches the Horn Farm’s 10-week Forager Training Program.
\n \nBeyond the Horn Farm \, Andrew enjoys hiking\, biking\, gardening\, loc avorous cooking\, and bioregional living. He lead s a book club for the Lancaster Composting Co-Ops\ , volunteers as a land steward with the Lancaster Conservancy\, and spends Saturdays selling produce at Green Circle Organics in Lancaster Central Mar ket.
