Winter Foraging Walk

Registration is closed for this event
Foraging is the act of finding and gathering wild foods. By engaging in this age-old practice, we can provide ourselves with healthy and abundant food and medicine, become more self-reliant, and connect on a much deeper level to the landscape in which we live.

Winter foraging - Depending on the weather of the season, this is when we move into the lean times. Many of the summer and fall offerings have died back, but there is still plenty for the adventurous forager to add to the dinner table. Come see what we can find and utilize as the months proceed into winter. Beginners and experienced foragers are welcome.

Come prepared for all weather, to get dirty, wet, and sometimes hot and sticky! This class is family and child friendly, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is per person, regardless of age.

Classes are led by Horn Farm Center Woodland Steward, Wilson Alvarez.

$25/person
