Foraging: Mid-Summer Plant Walk with Jon Darby

Registration is closed for this event
Foraging is the act of finding and gathering wild foods. By engaging in this age-old practice, we can provide ourselves with healthy and abundant food and medicine, become more self-reliant, and connect on a much deeper level to the landscape in which we live.

Mid-summer is the time of abundance so there will be no shortage of plants to get to know. We'll do another general plant walk this month, looking at both herbaceous and tree species. Each class is two hours in duration. Beginners and experienced foragers are welcome. Be prepared to walk, often at times on muddy or uneven surfaces. Dress for the weather and season! We meet at the pole barn.
