Registration is closed for this event

Come and discover the art and science of making high quality herbal tinctures. We will cover the fundamentals of creating alcohol and vinegar* extracts using both precision and folk methods, selecting and preparing fresh and dry plant materials, determining ratios, essential chemistry and solubility concepts, tools of the trade, and terminology. Get hands-on experience making an extract and take home what you make! We will also cover how to apply different types of herbal medicine, including basic information on dosing and safety. Finally, we'll explore the importance of sensory connection to plant medicine and spend time practicing taste testing and discussing our experiences. Detailed notes and resources will be provided.

*Vinegar will be available for the hands on portion for anyone who would prefer not to use alcohol.
