Spinal Yoga: Balancing the Spirit

Join us at the farm for Wellness Wednesdays! Once a month we will host a class featuring different types of yoga in collaboration with Firefly Wellness Center.

Learn the basics of Spinal Yoga (also known as Kundalini Yoga) to revitalize your nervous system, unlock your energy potential, and cultivate inner peace.

Kundalini Yoga is more than just stretches and poses. It's a holistic journey that works with movement & awareness. This includes Kriyas, sets of postures, mudra, mantra, and breathwork, designed to awaken energy and address specific needs like stress reduction or creativity.

Why Choose This Class?

  • Reduce Stress and Anxiety: Downregulate your nervous system and bounce back from challenges with newfound resilience.
  • Boost energy levels: Feel recharged and in control of your vitality.
  • Postural Alignment:  emphasizes individual alignment in poses, promoting healthy spinal curvature and reducing strain on muscles and ligaments.
  • Flexibility and Strength:  Gentle stretches and targeted exercises improve spinal flexibility and core strength, both crucial for spinal stability.
  • Mind-Body Connection:  Kundalini Yoga fosters a deeper awareness of the body and its subtle energies, allowing you to tune into and address any imbalances affecting your wellness.

What to Expect:

  • Gentle posture guidance and modifications to ensure your comfort.
  • Option to participate in breathwork, mantra, and mudras for deepening your personal spiritual connection or meditation practice.
  • A safe space to explore your potential without judgment.
  • Bring loose clothing, a yoga mat, and an open mind. Kara will guide you every step of the way, helping you embark on your own transformative Kundalini journey.
  • Open to all: Beginners and experienced practitioners alike are welcome.

What's a Trauma-informed yoga class?

A trauma-informed yoga class is a specific type of yoga practice designed to be safe and supportive for individuals who have experienced trauma. Students have complete control over their practice, classes focus on safety and body awareness, minimize overwhelm through a calm environment, and classes foster non- judgment and self-acceptance.
