The gardening season is about to begin, the garden beds have rested for the winter and it’s time to break out the tools and get things ready for another growing season. Wear your best garden clothes and expect hands-on experience with prepping beds for planting - we’ll discuss many different options for prepping the gardens (and practice some) including double digging, broadforking, mulching, polarizing, and occultation - and talk through all the different tools that make the work easier. There will be a discussion on tillage and when it’s appropriate (and when it’s not). This class will be held in the field, rain or shine - dress for the weather.
