If you’ve ever wondered what’s growing in your backyard or wanted to share the joy of foraging with your family, this is the perfect class for you! Join us for a fun, educational foraging adventure. The class will be oriented toward younger audiences, but all participants will learn the basics of safety, identification, and ethics. The first part of the class will include an informational talk with fun activities for children, and then we will go on a walk.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
About the Instructor:
Calyx Liddick is a certified clinical herbalist and nutritionist, field botanist, wildcrafter, activist, writer, and mother of two. She was born and raised in the mountains of central Pennsylvania. She sees the human body as an ecological microcosm, and that by reconnecting to the land we can heal the land as well as ourselves. In her practice, she integrates the long, rich history of traditional herbalism with modern scientifically sound research.
