Potato Planting Primer

Let’s get to the root of planting potatoes! Potatoes are a delicious and nutritious pantry staple, ideal for year-round sustenance. Not only are they versatile in the kitchen, but they’re also fun to grow.

Learn just how easy it is to include superior spuds in your own garden this season. Together, we’ll talk through how to grow these tantalizing tubers, and discuss topics like: ground preparation, planting methods, potato pests, plant maintenance, harvest cues, and how to save your own seed potatoes.

You’ll have the opportunity to apply this new-found knowledge directly in the field, with some hands-on potato planting. Bring your own gloves if desired (we’ll have extras to share), and expect to get dirty. We’ll send everyone home with seed potatoes of their very own, so you’ll hit the ground running and be on your way to growing tasty taters in no time!

This class will be held in the field, rain or shine - dress for the weather.
