Makers Spirit Experience: Wild Foods and Fermentation at the Horn Farm

The Horn Farm Center in Hellam offers programs that teach people how to grow and gather local food. Join us to savor the harvest with a demonstration on fermentation and a tasting of seasonal foods you've probably never tried, like nettles and other wild plants!

We'll walk through the process of transforming fresh cabbage into tangy sauerkraut and explore some underappreciated garden "weeds" to add to your plate. This unique program will celebrate Makers from the farm to the kitchen, showing how farmers, gardeners, and home cooks can make the most of our local abundance.

This exclusive experience is only available to Makers Spirit Event attendees.

While visiting the Horn Farm, don't forget to stop by our Summer Solstice Market (10am-2pm) to meet local vendors and purchase organic produce grown on the farm!
