October Foraging Walk

Registration is closed for this event
Foraging is the act of finding and gathering wild foods. By engaging in this age-old practice, we can provide ourselves with healthy and abundant food and medicine, become more self-reliant, and connect on a much deeper level to the landscape in which we live.

We'll do a general plant walk this month, looking at both herbaceous and tree species. Each class is two hours in duration. Beginners and experienced foragers are welcome.

Come prepared for all weather, to get dirty, wet, and sometimes hot and sticky! This class is family and child friendly, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is per person, regardless of age.

Classes are led by Horn Farm Center Woodland Steward, Wilson Alvarez.

$25/person

*All programs are subject to change based on unforeseen circumstances including inclement weather. Participants will receive an email and phone call if there are any program changes or cancellations.

*Parking is along the field above the farmhouse.
