Take a tour of the Horn Farm Center's Miyawaki demonstration patch and learn how to create your own rapid growth forest!

What in the world does Miyawaki mean!? Well, this class will explain just that.

Miyawaki is a rapid aforestation technique that uses biomimicry to build diverse and healthy forest ecosystems. The benefits of this high-density planting method are still being discovered. The Horn Farm Center is home to one of the first deciduous miyawaki forest experimentation plots in the United States.

Take a tour of the Horn Farm's own Miyawaki demonstration patch and learn how to create your own miaywaki forest on your property!

Class is led by Horn Farm Center Woodland Steward, Wilson Alvarez.
