Spring Garden Prep & Planning

Registration is closed for this event

As the ground begins to thaw each spring, knowing when and how to begin to prep your garden for the growing season can be daunting - This two-hour class will cover the basics of garden design and ground preparation - all done with simple, accessible hand tools that every gardener should have in their closet. We will demonstrate the transformation of a fresh piece of fallow ground to a planting ready garden, discuss what to look for in gardening tools, how to determine plant and row spacing, succession planting, and spring cover cropping. Bring any other questions you may have.

This class takes place in the field - Dress for the outdoors and walking in the garden on potentially muddy or uneven ground. You will have the opportunity to get your hands dirty as well.
