Fermented drinks are flavorful, healthy, and surprisingly easy to make at home. Whether you are curious about fermentation, looking for a healthy alternative to soda, interested in the health benefits of live probiotics, or simply excited to try something new, this hands-on class will introduce you to the creative world of fermented beverages.
In this class, we'll explore:
- Kombucha: Learn the basics of brewing your own kombucha and take home a kombucha starter so you can continue fermenting at home.
- Sweet Potato Fly: Make this traditional, lightly fermented drink from Guyana from scratch during our class.
- Herbal Beer: Discover how herbs and other ingredients can be used to create your own unique fermented drinks.
Come ready to learn, taste, and experiment as we explore the many possibilities of fermentation!
