Farm Immersion

Get your hands dirty with us! Work and learn in a customized combination to fit your group’s learning objectives.

This experience provides a true immersion into the work we do at the Horn Farm by uniting any of the packages above with dedicated volunteering time spent alongside our staff. Typically, a tour or tour/workshop combo is followed by lunch, then groups spend the afternoon volunteering in our regenerative plots, our riparian buffer, or our forests. This lengthened experience best suits groups who wish to learn and break a sweat while having a tangible impact at our organization. Volunteer opportunities vary depending on needs, season, and group capacity; recommendations for other experiences may be made in cases where we cannot determine a worthwhile group project.

*Inquiries should be made well in advance of the program to accommodate for planning time.

*Physical requirements will be discussed with the group prior to scheduling.

  • Recommended for: student groups and classrooms (preferably middle school and up); environmentally-focused community clubs and organizations; corporate groups.

About our pricing:

We aim to make farm tours accessible for everyone. In determining our current prices, we’ve considered staff time, preparations, and group size as it relates to the experience of individual participants. While the prices we present reflect what we might expect in exchange for our commitments, we acknowledge different budgetary constraints and are willing to negotiate costs to accommodate group needs. Like our reciprocal partnership with nature, we seek a balance of financial feasibility for our visitors and compensation commensurate with the experiences we’re providing. Please do not hesitate to make price concerns transparent when inquiring for a tour: we’re more than willing to consider adjustments on a case-by-case basis.
