Nature is happening all around us
From the tiniest spore aloft on the wind to the entire forest community, our world is alive with interactions and relationships that we’re only just beginning to understand. By learning more about the ecology of home and beginning to see the world through a naturalist lens, we can find awe and wonder in the unassuming, and foster a deep commitment to caring for the world we depend on. After all, we too are woven into this great ecological tapestry we call Earth.
Many of the Horn Farm’s ecology and naturalist programs focus on our Lower Susquehanna bioregion to enrich our appreciation and empathy for the landscape of home. Classes bring together science and historical wisdom, stewardship, and a childlike sense of wonder that goes beyond seeking answers and knowledge alone. Ecological learning invites us to move through the world gratefully, humbly, and with a passion for healing what we can.
