Horn Farm Happenings – February 16

soil cross section

Lots of classes and workshops have been added to the calendar! Cooking, gardening, foraging, wilderness skills–we’ve got something for everyone! For inspiration, we’ve been replaying the video we shared last week: The Soil Story. Because we know that soil health is so important, we are delighted to be offering A Gardener’s Guide to Soil on March 17. Soil health affects plant health, the nutritional value of the food we eat, and even weather patterns. Join us to discover more!

UNFI Volunteer Day July 26Volunteering is a great way to support the Horn Farm Center! We have organized a Spring Volunteer Work Day for Saturday, April 7 from 9 to 3 (rain date April 14). We need help getting ready for the growing season: cleaning, painting, and working in the gardens. You can sign up for this and other volunteer opportunities on our website. If you can’t help in April, we will have work days on the first Saturday of the month. Starting May 15 we will need volunteers to work on the farm on Tuesday evenings. Thanks!

We still have room for you in our Vegetable CSA and Betsy’s Flower CSA. Sign up today for your weekly or biweekly share of vegetables or cut flowers!Betsy's Flower Farm
