LIVE STAKES (March 9th-23rd, 2026)

The Horn Farm Center is proud to offer live stakes of select native tree and shrub species, grown right here on the Horn Farm property in York, PA. Whether you’re a homeowner seeking to bolster native species on your property, or need a live stake supply for a larger-scale restoration project, we’ve got options for you!

All live stakes are around 18″ in length, and will be sold in bundles of 5 of a singular species. If you are interested in purchasing 50 or more individual live stakes, your order qualifies for wholesale pricing. Please contact t.shertzer@hornfarmcenter.org to place wholesale orders.

Local Pickup
Processing time for live stakes is up to 3 business days after the order is placed. For local pickup, you will receive a confirmation email once your order is ready for pickup.

Shipping Schedule
Processing time for live stakes is up to 3 business days after the order is placed. Live stakes ship Tuesdays and Wednesdays to prevent weekend transit delays. Orders placed after Tuesday at 12:00 PM (EST) will ship the following Monday.

Weather Conditions
Because live stakes are dormant plant material, extreme weather (heat waves, freezing temperatures, severe storms) may delay shipment. We reserve the right to postpone shipping if conditions may compromise live stake health. If a delay is necessary, we will notify you via email.

Transit & Handling
Once your order has shipped, transit times are determined by the carrier. We are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier, or damage to dormant plant material due to shipping delays.

Buyer is responsible for knowing state agricultural restrictions.
